The Camp Builders program provide volunteers an opportunity to help with the maintenance and upkeep of Ockanickon Scout Reservation throughout the year.

Participate in a full Camp Builders day and receive a special edition Council Shoulder Patch.

Upcoming Camp Builder Dates & Projects

All are 8 AM to 4 PM, rain or shine (projects may change if it is raining), lunch provided, special diet please bring your own lunch.

Saturday, September 14th – Preparing camp for fall/winter weekend camping.  General labor including a punch list of carpentry & electrical repair items & paint touch up.

Saturday October 19th – Chain Saw Day* & General Labor

Saturday November 9th – Chain Saw Work* & General Labor – Cleanup of collapsed pavilion.  

Saturday November 16th – Chain Saw Work* & General Labor

*Must meet BSA Chain Saw Safety requirements to operate a chain saw. Age 18+ for log splitting. 

Chain Saw Safety Training Certification

Do you want to help on Chain Saw Work Days but don’t have the required training? WCC is offering 2 BSA Chain Saw Safety Training courses for Fall 2019, September 14th & October 19th. These are 2 individual 1 day courses. You do not need to attend both days. Upon successful completion of the course you will be approved to operate a chain saw in camp at the specific direction of our Ranger.

Interested participants can access registration by clicking on the training date of their choice to the left.  Course attendees must be 18+ years of age and registered with Washington Crossing Council as of the date of the course.
