Attention PA Unit Leaders – as a reminder, the required clearances for PA Act 153 are valid for 5 years from the date of the report.   Since we are close to the 5-year anniversary when the policy went into effect, leaders need to be sure their respective clearances meet these criteria.

Council is in the process of sending notices via email (address on file) to volunteers with reports dated 2014 and early 2015.   Unit Committee Chairs will be copied on the email so they can follow up.

As Unit Leadership prepares for the 2019-2020 program, they are asked to review their records to ensure all leaders are in compliance.

It is encouraged that Volunteers with a report date of March 2015 (or earlier) should update their clearances within the next two months so they will be current when Unit Charters are processed in December/January.
